67 teams and over 1,000 students competed at the 38th Annual WFCA State Tournament and Congress held on April 18-19, 2008. Ripon has been home to the tournament for the fourth consecutive year. Friday afternoon 58 students practiced parliamentary procedure as they debated bills and resolutions in their student congress sessions. The top twelve advanced to the evening's Congress Super Session. Saturday morning competitors and judges dispersed across Ripon College (14 different buiildings!) and Ripon Middle and High Schools for three rounds of competition. The top entries were posted and the semifinal round was held. Then the top six entries in each of the 18 events competed as finalists. At the awards ceremony, scholarships were awarded, coaches were honored, and individual and team awards were presented. Congratulations to the team champions: Madison Memorial, Division I; Cedarburg, Division II; and Algoma, Division III.
